Menurut Bonnie Mamanua, Head of Office Product Business Group Microsoft, kelebihan Office 2010 pada intinya mengedepankan produktivitas dan memudahkan terkoneksi dengan internet.

"Office 2010 menawarkan produktivitas lebih saat Anda melakukan pekerjaan di PC maupun smartphone. Ada banyak fitur baru yang akan memudahkan pekerjaan Anda," kata Bonnie di acara Media Gathering Microsoft di Tanjung Lesung, Banten, yang berlangsung hingga Jumat (11/6/2010).

Dari beragam fitur yang ditawarkan, yang paling menonjol dan menjadi ciri khas Microsoft Office 2010 diantaranya, memungkinkan pengguna mengunggah dokumen langsung ke web. Kemampuan baru 2010 ini juga memungkinkan pengguna bekerja secara virtual dimana pun berkat kehadiran Microsoft Office Web Apps.

Seiring dengan akses ke dokumen yang mudah dari mana saja secara virtual, Web Apps juga membantu mempertahankan tampilan dan nuansa dokumen tanpa batasan perangkat, sehingga isi dan format secara keseluruhan tetap dipertahankan walaupun digunakan dari PC maupun ponsel.
